Driving your sales team to achieve goals in the long run. Sales leader should always think long term. Sales leaders should understand the value drivers required to grow the company and increase the mindshare

Defining strategy helps to get the resources allocated. These resources could then be used to get the strategy accomplished. The sales leaders could achieve strategy by allocating right resources to get the things done.

Strategy help in acquisitions and corporate development. Sales leaders should care about strategy more than anything else. This will determine future of the company and employees also.
